Department of Couples
Who We Are
The department of couples is one of the nine departments of KCFA. Compared to KCFA’s other departments, this department is relatively new, having been formally ratified in 2019 and authorized to begin its function in 2021. It adopts the biblical understanding of marriage as a union between a man and woman, and recognizes the need to build marriages under traditional biblical principles, gearing all its practices toward this end. The National Director of Couples heads this department, assisted by its National Deputy Director. Together, they work with a committee drafted from its members to help run its affairs.
What We Do
The department of couples exists for the purpose of meeting the needs of married couples in Kenya Christian Fellowship in America. The needs may range from marital counseling to marriage enrichment. The department tries to meet these needs by connecting couples to resources promoting marital stability. Marriage seminars, workshops and counseling are only a few of the resources made available for meeting these goals.
How Often We Meet
In order to meet its needs, the department conducts a national face-to-face conference at least once a year for its members. The department may also decide, as the needs dictate, to hold quarterly regional conferences. The conferences could be either in-person or virtual. If you are married, this department exists for you. Be on the lookout for announcements for regional conferences.
