CHILDREN AND YOUTH TALENT SHOW GUIDELINES

 Theme: FOR I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU, DECLARES THE LORD, PLANS TO PROSPER YOU AND NOT TO HARM YOU, PLANS TO GIVE YOU A HOPE AND A FUTURE

JEREMIAH 29:11 

Participants will be expected to portray the above theme through the following talent areas:.

Points to be awarded to each talent portrayed. 

1.    Skit (21 points)

2.    Memory Verses (17 points)

3.    Mime (17 points)

4.    Instrumental (15 points)

5.    Oratory skills (e.g. preaching) (20 points)

6.    Dance (10 points) 

RULES FOR THE TALENT SHOW:

 ·               The talent show is open for youth between the ages of

 7 -18 only) There will two judging categories

 7-12 and 13-18. 

·               Each participant(s) is required to submit their entry

to Rose Mwangi to Lucy Mahiaini by end of July 2nd     evening. 

·               Each entry cannot be longer that 5 minutes (including 2 minutes stage preparation

·               All Entries must be Christian in nature.

   All entries must be ready for preview by the above named people on the afternoon of July 3^rd. 

     CRITERIA FOR JUDGING: 

1.    ORIGINALITY – Do not copy anybody else’s work: Be original

2.    CREATIVITY – Use only simple and easy stage props.

3.    SKILL – Memorize all spoken words thoroughly.

4.    CO-ORDINATION – The dance etc. must be well co-ordinated

5.    TIME MANAGEMENT – Observe the 5 minute rule.
